Anet lower amount of shards/ecto needed to craft fow armor?
I have been hearing currently that ANET is saying that they might change the request for the shards/ecto to craft your armor at the forgemaster.. everyone knows that 45 ecto and 45 shards is way to much for just the chest piece lol. In a way Fow armor is kinda dumb and i can't believe anet wouldn't fix this problem.. I meen it doesn't even have better stats? If you couldn't lower the requirments can ANET atleast make the armor better than any other?

The fact that they don't even have better stats demonstrates two things:
1. You don't need it.
2. It is prestige armour and therefore supposed to be ridiculously expensive. Why would you show off armour that didn't cost a lot of money?
Sure, casual gamers probably won't get it. I am a casual gamer, and I can tell you now that I won't ever have that armour. But I don't care so much, because I know it's a prestige item. Just like I'll never get an AV-21 in SWG or whatever. Ridiculously priced items that don't really do anything special, they just show people that you're rolling around in cash.

sit down grasshopper and i will explain.
when every point of damage or defense counts even slightly more protection is an advantage.
better stats means it is NECESSARY to have not OPTIONAL in pvp.
and most people dont have the time to get that vanity item

For exactly the same reasons stated already. FoW armour is a prestige item.

as a casual player, I would love to have a set of this armor and don't see why it should only be available to the special snots who spend a few hours farming and get all the supplies they need.
And while we're at it Anet, drop the price it costs to craft each piece to.

I don't think it's needed to lower amount of materials needed for Fissure armor, I DO think however - that ecto prices do need to drop somewhat, maybe closer to shard prices. Casual players still won't be able to go out and buy it right away, but does somewhat help give other players with lives a better chance.

that is a contradiction as people with lives wont worry how long it takes (or even if) they get the top show off my wealth rolls royce armor.
as for not getting to buy it right away i think you are getting the main idea
this stuff isnt for everybody.
will i ever have it? maybe by chapter 3 but then it will be the cheap stuff compared to the ruby / saphire flame armor

OK, I see what you're saying - so Anet is giving an extra gift to people who have lots of hours/time to do what it takes to get this armor, which is understandable as a company should reward it's fanatics I guess.
How about giving us more casual players an armor set that is strictly for us - with like maybe patches or a quilt-y shabby look to it, showing how we'll never (or at least for a longass time) afford Fissure. Maybe put a 500 hours or less req on getting it - seeing how in Grotto last night, people were spouting off how long they've played, and one guy had over 2500 hours since starting.

i put in a suggestion along those lines.
sort of shabby gentry or well worn but still trying to put on a decent show (as long as the stats match)
i would wear it and mix and match the dye colors to get as shabby a look as possible (cant he afford dye remover and do it right?)
it would be fun to win a most creatively shabby contest and hope some of next chapters appearance content will allow just that

No...something that looks crappier and cheaper than droks, yet same stats. Just to put an exclamation on how casual of a player one may be. Something STRICTLY for the common player if you didn't catch that a minute ago.

I have a 32" tube TV. I think manufacturers should drop the price of their flat panel HDTV's from $3,000+ because I just don't want to work harder to get one. Lets see I have a TV so the flat panel HDTV is not necessary. Any similarities? Do you think the manufacturers would listen?
I don't have FoW armor and don't need it.
